Processing and preserving of meat
The company is engaged in the production, processing and wholesale of meat and meat products. The company was established in 1974, and has its registered office in Avinyo, Barcelona, Spain. The company operates slaughterhouses and refrigerated warehouses in Avinyo. It has a slaughtering and cutting capacity of approximately 30,000 heads per week. Its products include frozen and deep frozen meats, cooked meats, meat preserves, hams and sausages. As the leading Spanish exporter of pork cuts, the company operates its own fleet of trailers for serving the more complex deliveries within Europe, apart from subcontracted reefer trailers. It aims to provide good product quality and good service to its clients. The company's subsidiaries include Grup Unexporc. Unexporc was founded in January 1994 for the purpose of undertaking the export activities on behalf of the shareholders, being two of the major Spanish operators in pig slaughtering and pork cutting, Carnicas Batalle and Matadero Frigorifico Avinyo.
